Doggie Latchkey provided blue ribbon pet sitting services for a large breed dog in Ferndale, MI today. He really enjoys his daily dog walks through Lennon Memorial Park at the corner of Garfield and Chester Streets in Ferndale. Later that afternoon his professional dog walker took him on a different route on Hilton Road near the Hilton Oaks Baptist Church.

One of Doggie Latchkey’s professional pet sitters provided daily dog walking for a large Golden Retriever around Maple Lane School on Dryden Street in Sterling Heights. During his pet sitting appointment, the Golden Retriever worked on leash training as part of Doggie Latchkey’s certified pet training program.

The day began with a vacation pet sit in Lexington Commons subdivision in Northville where three small Yorkies were pampered and cared for like one of our very own. The parents wanted an alternative to boarding and daycare. This is the second vacation sit and another very happy Doggie Latchkey client.

The next stop in Northville was in the lovely Pheasant Hills subdivision off eight mile between Taft and Novi Road. A rescue boxer was eager for our first sit of the day.

Included in his pet sit is basic training provided by a certified member of the staff.

The parents are going to be very pleased at the progress their rescue boxer is making in just a few visits. This is an added value and very cost effective when clients combine both pet sitting, dog walking along with in home training.

The last stop in Northville is for an existing client with two rescue lab mixes. They live in the North Beacon subdivision. This dog sit is the perfect solution as one of the rescues has separation anxiety which is not uncommon in shelter dogs. In home pet sitting is the best option for this family. Staying at home, cage free is just what this dog needs so it is not stressed.

In home cat sitting is such a better choice for parents with cats. No longer do our clients have to take the cats out of their home, travel, drop off and pick up from the vet. The idea of keeping cats calm and comfortable at home appeals to just as many cats as it dogs.

The stress level of boarding is eliminated and it is a win win situation for pets and pet parents alike.

Northville Commons is a popular destination for dog walking and you can see many of the Doggie Latchkey dog walkers in this area on any given day. They can easily be recognized by the company apparel the team members wear or name badges.

Favorite apartment complexes in Northville with dog friendly trails and drop off stations is very common.
