Our one-on-one training sessions are ideal for puppies and new dogs, but can be just as
effective for older pets that have developed less than ideal habits. It is important for dog
owners to establish themselves as the leader of the pack. Our training techniques are
simple and proven to be effective.
The two main areas of focus are positive behavioral reinforcement and obedience
training. Good and positive training leads to improved behavior in all aspects. Here are a
few examples of some basics we can cover in one session:
- Walking – we will teach you how to show your dog you are the pack leader
- Leash Etiquette – another vital factor in proper walking techniques
- Eating – when and how you feed your dog is crucial in proper training
- Commands – we can show you how to teach your dog to obey commands and do tricks.
- Coming home and visitors – We can show you techniques to come home to calm pets and avoid chaos at the front door when you welcome visitors.
- Walking up stairs and entering doors – It seems like a simple idea, but things like this are so important to establishing a proper relationship with your dog.
- Interacting with others – This is especially important if you have small children. A properly trained puppy greatly decreases aggressive behavior toward children.
